Birth date

April 25, 1995




Born on 25 April 1995, he is a student of Sergejs Osokins and since 2009 has also taken lessons from Mikhail Voskresensky. From September 2015 Georgijs starts to study at Juilliard School of Music in New York. He made his public debut aged ten, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. He was the winner of 9th International Moscow F. Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in 2014 and won prizes in numerous competitions, including the ‘Rina Sala Gallo’ in Monza (Italy) and competitions in China, France and Latvia. He has performed in international festivals and received an award from the Latvian Minister of Culture. He has attended masterclasses given by Dmitry Bashkirov, Sergei Babayan, Bernd Goetzke, Georg Friedrich Schenck and Einar Steen-Nøkleberg.
